This year we have decided not to highlight a special Digital Learning Day. “Why?”  you may ask.  Because last year a middle school student pointed out to us that EVERYDAY IS A DIGITAL LEARNING DAY in all of the schools of FWSU.

VPR 5 Digital learning is more than just computers and iPads. As stated by Alliance for Excellent Education, Digital Learning is about giving every child the opportunity to learn in a robust digital environment everyday- with the goal of success in college and a career.

IMG_0527Our FWSU Action Plan call for students to engage in personalized learning- technology tools provide students with access to people and materials that expand their ability to be involved in collaborative inquiry, problem solving, and unique opportunities for creative learning.

Our goal is to develop flexible learning environments for students of all ages.  We strive to promote learning experiences that excite our students, involving them beyond the school day and beyond the school walls.  We want our staff, students and community-at-large to embrace the digital, social, mobile media, making the “always on” learning of today’s world a part of the learning opportunities we offer to all FWSU students.  Flexible thinking and flexible learning is critical to becoming career and college ready.  iPad STEMWe invite you to join us on Facebook and Twitter as we share snapshots and stories throughout the month of February. You can also follow the discussions using #DLDay on Twitter and follow this FWSU Blog.   Learn with us!
