Today marks the second annual Digital Learning Day.This national event is part of a yearlong campaign to raise awareness about teaching and learning in the digital age. It focuses on successful instructional practice and effective use of technology in schools.
FWSU is recognized as a leader in Vermont, for creating innovative student digital learning environments. We have 1:1 initiatives in each of our schools. We were among the first to offer hands-on learning opportunities for using iPads to improve instruction. We were also the first to create professional learning activities that focused on developing Digital Learning Networks (PLN’s). Our goal is to encourage innovative use of technology, showcase student learning, use transformative professional development approaches, and focus on using digital tools to improve student outcomes.
FWSU is pleased to be participating in this exciting celebration! We invite you to join us on Facebook and Twitter as we share snapshots and stories throughout the day. You can also follow the discussions using #DLDay on Twitter.
