GEMS custodian, Eric Austin has been working with Mrs. Alspach’s 2nd grade class to create a classroom terrarium. The students are studying life cycles and habitats.
Mr. Austin is an expert when it comes to living organisms and how they survive. He has worked with the ECHO center in Burlington and created over 30 different terrariums.
We are fortunate to have such a talented young man working in our building as a member of the maintenance crew.

GEMS appreciates Mr. Austin’s willingness to share his expertise and collaborate with with our students and teachers.

The second graders love their new terrarium!
