As part of the National Fire Prevention Week, Volunteer Firefighters at the Georgia Fire Department, met with students in grades PreK-2 to discuss fire safety and possible prevention.
Community firefighters took students on a tour of the fire engine and allowed students to climb aboard! In the classroom, firefighter attire was discussed along with the importance of gear and other needed equipment.
Children attended presentations throughout the week and had the opportunity to ask many questions and try on gear.
This was a successful week of collaboration with our local fire department to help students understand the importance of fire safety measures.
Georgia is very fortunate and proud to have such a committed Fire Department that protects both our community and school.
