Monday was a very exciting occasion for 7th and 8th graders at GEMS. The students had the opportunity to participate in the Georgia Quiz Bowl Finals. The event challenges the mind of all participants with a variety of questions and problems to be solved.
Teams are formed within homerooms and compete against each other. 7th and 8th grade students participated in preliminary rounds in the enrichment room prior to the finals. This year’s bowl was outstanding. The 7th grade trophy went to a team from Mr. Hardy’s room and the 8th grade trophy went to a team from Mr. Hadd’s room.
The GEMS Quiz Bowl depends on the hard work of the GEMS Student Council members, who run the competitions.
