Students in Mrs. Blackman’s Kindergarten class have recently embarked on a personalized learning project involving collaborative inquiry.
It all began when the class became interested in drawing flag-like images. Mrs. Blackman then shared pictures of flags from around the world with her students.
After seeing flags from different countries, children asked if they could begin making flags and Mrs. Blackman has now included flag-making as a choice time activity.
Flag-fever has grown so much there are now 34 flags of other nations displayed on the wall outside the classroom. Camryn made a flag of the United States and sent it to President Barack Obama!
