Action Step – Highlight, create and model innovative learning opportunities that promote collaborative inquiry, problem solving and creativity for students and staff.
Four FES 4th graders – Molly, Sebrina, Emily and Sam – decided to study organic gardening as a part of the school’s “Go Green” Science Fair theme.
Each student chose a different focus individually, but collaborated to create a classroom Growlab with organic seeds and organic soil. Their energies produced great results! The girls each shared their research project findings with others.
Topics included “Grow Foods Not Lawns”, “Common Garden Pests”, “Home Remedies and Saving Seeds”, and “How to Start Your Own Inside Organic Garden”.
