There are many signs of the season in our school buildings within Franklin West Supervisory Union. At BFA Elementary School, students and teachers put on their creative (winter) thinking caps in order to decorate classroom doors.

Our schools have focused on how our learning centers can support the greater community.
There have been collections of food which will support our local food shelves, and pet friendly donations that will go to The Franklin County Humane Society. These donations have been dropped off, or money has been raised by selling handmade ornaments.
The office door at Georgia Elementary School has been decorated with hopes that the North wind will soon bring snow our way.
This student’s art work is a simple but powerful word, the Artist Statement shows the commitment they had to engage in new learning.

Our gift and greatest responsibility is to our students and their families. In the depths of winter, our students will bring us the warmth and joy of summer.

Action Steps. Provide students with access to content, resources, and methods for learning beyond the school day and beyond the school walls. Develop opportunities for students to collaborate, innovate, create and conceptualize in all learning settings.
