This week BFA Fairfax Elementary School students have been cleaning house – for change to donate to a coin drop!
This coin drop is sponsored by the BFA Fairfax PTSA and each day students were asked to “Spring” into action!
Each weekday has a theme:
Every cent raised will enable the PTSA to purchase books for their “Every child brings a book home over summer” event as well as the “4th of July books for the community” parade. Additionally for every dollar that is raised, Scholastic Book Company donates books to a literacy charity in BFA’s name.
The classroom that generates the highest overall total will have a “Dress Your Hotdog Day” A select support staff will get into the spirit and dress up as a hot dog, the winning class will add the ketchup and mustard to the costumed staff member.
Target 4: Engaged Community Partners. Students engage is authentic learning opportunities with local, regional, state, and global partners to make a difference in their community, state and world.
