Students in Middle School Community Groups recently created a “Be the Change Chain”. Each student identified one thing that they would do to step in when they see a teasing/bullying incident. They also wrote ways they could contribute to a climate of kindness in the Middle School.
These ideas were linked together to form a “Change Chain” that is now proudly on display in the Middle School hallway.

It’s one more way that students are demonstrating their commitment not to be a bullying bystander. Instead students are standing up against bullying and being the change that they want to see in the world!

Kudos middle schoolers!

This is a wonderful program and should be a model for other schools. Unless students became involved in ending bullying, it will not end. I’m proud of you guys.
