Before students return to school, teachers from Georgia, Fairfax and Fletcher participate in two days of learning, training, collaborating and planning. In “school speak” we refer to this time as inservice.
Inservice (adjective) meaning
- (of training) intended for those actively engaged in the profession or activity concerned.
Day 1 of inservice training was devoted to the implementation of Schoology – our new system-wide Learning Management System. Students will begin to learn use in the first few weeks of school and parent accounts will be mailed out within that time frame as well
Day 2 was devoted to our individual schools getting ready for our students. Faculty meetings, additional training, and time in classrooms are the focus.
We can hardly wait for students to arrive tomorrow, a day we like to call The Best Day of the Year!
