Target 3- Flexible Learning Environments. FWSU will maximize flexible learning environments by redefining the school day, promoting learning experiences that extend beyond the school classroom, and fostering creativity, innovation, and differentiated learning opportunities for all.
Action Steps- Provide students with access to content, resources, and methods for learning beyond the school day and beyond the school walls. Develop opportunities for students to collaborate, innovate, create and conceptualize in all learning settings.
Students in FWSU play an important role in the relationship of learning and teaching, they are valued for their prior knowledge, skills, talents, interests, and cultural points of view.
Involving students as active agents in their own learning encourages growth as a learner. Our students’ offer supports to others in their learning community. Together, they can be problem solvers.
In addition to our students as learners, the adults in our buildings are engaging in practices that will examine the data to determine, “How can we improve our practice? How can we collaborate to ensure the quality of our student learning?”
By enabling all students to develop the knowledge, skills, and habits of mind, we will prepare them for the journey of life.
