Target 3 – Flexible Learning Environments. FWSU will maximize flexible learning environments by redefining the school day, promoting learning experiences that extend beyond the school classroom, and fostering creativity, innovation,  and differentiated learning opportunities for all.

Action step:  Provide students with access to resources and methods for learning beyond the school walls and through virtual learning.

Students at Georgia Elementary work hard each and every day and deserve a break to energize their brains. Research tells us that brain breaks, throughout the day, help students concentrate, memorize, and understand more effectively when movement and activities are incorporated. A variety of breaks can be implemented to help assist and recharge one’s brain, allowing it to function at a higher level. But, what seems to be most important, is that classrooms allow it to happen.

Throughout the classrooms, at Georgia Elementary school,  it is not a rare occasion to hear music being played, to observe children dancing, or to witness individuals tracing shapes, kinesthetically, within the air.  From Me Moves to GoNoodle to any dance-alongs, they all work very well within each classroom.

Ask any student, they LOVE their brain breaks throughout each day!
