Target 3- Flexible Learning Environments. FWSU will maximize flexible learning environments by redefining the school day, promoting learning experiences that extend beyond the school classroom, and fostering creativity, innovation, and differentiated learning opportunities for all.
Action Steps. Provide students with access to content, resources, and methods for learning beyond the school day and beyond the school walls. Develop opportunities for students to collaborate, innovate, create and conceptualize in all learning settings.
Recently BFA Fairfax hosted a Book Fair in conjunction with their open house event. This annual event is a way to offer more books and more choices, which mean students get to read books that they have self-selected or selected with a family member. The right book can ignite a passion for reading. Book Fairs provide a common time where families can embrace literacy and provide encouragement to our learners.
We encourage families to work together to create a reading culture both at school and at home. Reading expands the mind, nourishes the imagination, and opens a world of possibilities. A book can be a path into the future all while expanding the present.
The Book Fair had multiple levels of books available Pre-Kindergarten through Middle School.
When was the last time you went to a Book Fair? Do you remember attending them in your youth? Can you remember the title of a book that you brought home? Perhaps the title that you remember is available at our Book Fair!
Thank you to the PTSA for bringing the Book Fair to BFA!
