On Friday, November 20th, BFA Fairfax Elementary celebrated the end of the fall season with a day of fun, exercise, and creativity.
All students were part of three multi-age rotations of activities: vegetable-face-making and crafts, an outdoor hike with collaborative tasks, and face painting, obstacle course, marshmallow relays, hula hooping, and no-handed-doughnut-eating in the gym.
This was truly a whole community event! Students from the High School Student Council and National Honor Society volunteered their time to facilitate the activities. Parents and staff guided students through arts and crafts and families joined us for our annual Thanksgiving lunch.
Thanks to everyone that made this day possible – the day was a blast!

Action Step –Provide students with access to content, resources, and methods for learning beyond the school day and beyond the school walls.
