Today’s FWSU STORY features a guest post by Brittany Sweet: 

Miss Sweet is asking, “What do you notice?”

Miss Sweet’s students are encouraged to make observations in the classroom and outside!

Children have been exploring vegetables and seeds in the classroom during recent weeks.

Children have opportunities to talk about their observations during activities and stories in Miss Sweet’s classroom.  Children make their own discoveries and share their excitement and observations with others!  Children make connections between their past experiences and the unfamiliar information they encountered.  New learning!

Children were encouraged to spend time looking in a mirror and then to talk and draw about what they noticed.

Children noticed a lot of detail on their faces!
