The GEMS sixth grade class hosted the 4th Annual GEMS Culture Fair last week. Second, fifth, seventh, and eighth graders packed the gym to learn about different cultures around the world. Of course, parents of sixth graders were in attendance too!
For each culture featured, students created a digital presentation, developed a display, and provided a recipe and game to share.
Students were also expected to be able to answer three essential questions:
- What is culture?
- What are the aspects that make your culture unique?
- How does geography influence culture?
Our sixth graders enjoyed sharing their knowledge of individual cultures with the community and families!
